Implementation of a Library for Simulating Atmospheres of Gas Giants in CosmoScout VR
- This work explores the interface between the physical simulation of gas giants and requirements of software simulating the solar system. The goal was to accurately simulate the visible atmosphere of gas giants in CosmoScout VR while fulfilling the requirements of the target environment. For this, the underlying theory has been summarized, currently available technologies and methods have been explored, and the target environment has been analyzed. After that, different approaches have been created, of which one has been implemented. Finally, the result has been evaluated with criteria important to the target environment and the research question.
